Bangers & Mash. With a name like that, it has to taste good. But can it still taste good when given the "#EatClean" treatment?
EAT CLEAN Bangers & Mash
{a recipe that I made up and liked}
starchy fatty white potatoes do not fit into this recipe- so its sweet potato mash time!
Roast up 2-3 sweet potatoes in a 350-400 degree oven with evoo and fresh rosemary {no salt!} until brown, crunchy and crazy fragrant.
potato heaven
Put the roasted potatoes into a large cast iron dutch oven and use an immersion blender to turn the chunks into a smooth mash. Keep on low heat until ready to serve.
Meanwhile saute some lean turkey sausage in evoo on a skillet until cooked through. No need for additional seasoning here, especially not salt.
Plate the sausage on a bed of mashed sweet potatoes and top with caramelized onions
The natural flavors of the onion, sweet potato, rosemary and onions are perfect enough to deliver a full flavored dish. So warm and comforting. This will have to be re-made when the cold weather strikes later this  year.
let there be dinner
